Matthew writes: Scheduled to coincide with a target date of 2013 for a manned mission to Mars, NASA has announced that they are planning a womanned mission to Venus.
“We’re going to Mars to determine the validity of the theory that life on Earth may have originated on Mars and been carried to earth by meteorites. We’re going to Venus to find out if there’s any truth to the ‘Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus‘ theory.”
“Frankly, we don’t expect to find any actual evidence that the sexes originated on different planets, but science is science. It’s NASA’s job to go get the proof, not to speculate on theories.”
“Politics played no role in the all female crew selection. There’s only one bathroom and one sleeping compartment in the life support module for the exploration craft. With six months of close confinement, we didn’t want toilet seat issues to play a role in crew morale.”
