I never got more than an auto-reply. It bummed me out. See, I write to my legislators all the time and I think they should take a minute or two, every now and then to write back. I get that it’s just some staffer issuing a homogenized statement. I get that in the middle of a campaign, John Kerry might not have time to send me a get well card because I’m down with the flu. But I was kind of hoping that designated reader of John Kerry’s mail would clue in at some point and say, “Hey, John, check it out. This woman in Seattle writes to you, like, twice a week.”

anyway, in the little free time i have i really enjoy biking, camping, and sitting on the front porch with my feet up. i'm a huge nerd, a socialist, and a tremendous fan of karl marx. i eat local and organic food as often as i can (if this is your thing too, there's tons of organic food co-ops and farmers markets in the cities), i adore fall, and i'm finally getting used to the traffic around here.

Sounds like some Grade A bullsh*t to me!!

I especially enjoyed the part where it says "...be used to culture electronically and transmit digitally cancer, malaria, AIDS..."

Yeah... Pretty sure cancer is a mutation to cells, and AIDS, or more realistically HIV, is only transmittable via blood... but you know, those cathode ray tubes have their ways... damn computers!!! I knew they would be the death of us all...

Hmm. "...electrostatic charge that accumulates on the glass surface of high-voltage cathode-ray tubes."

It seems to me that this virus could then be adapted to infect people who watch certain TV programs, like American Idol, or Survivor, or even Oprah.
