Microsoft

Matthew writes: The Department of Homeland Security has announced that the recent Windows RPC vulnerability that affects 90% of the computers attached to the Internet is likely to spawn the largest hacking attack the Internet has ever seen, giving hackers complete control of potentially millions of computers from which they could perpetrated targeted attacks.

Bill Gates, Chairman of Microsoft Corporation, appeared before congress to explain the vulnerability: “Microsoft is actively committed to assisting our world-wide user all your computer are belong to us in patching this vulnerability.” Mr. Gates then absentmindedly snatched a fly from the air with his tongue.

ought to be some sort of punishment for exposing x billion corporate computers across the net. say £5 for every windows computer penetrated.

    That'd get rid of Microshaft!

Well, we don't want to get rid of Microshaft, we just want them to take responsibility for their shotty software. I say the Windows using community take legal action and force Microsoft to to purchase and distribute viral software for all installations of NT4/2000/XP. Brand would be by choice of the OS operator.

That'd make Symantec and McAfee happy (:

Sorry for that bug, it's not my fault that /not's plain text mode eats dollar signs and the numbers following them.

It is my fault for hitting 'preview' and then not reading it.

The text should have been “say (dollarsign) 5″

(Sorry folks, it's an artifact of PHP, the scripting language that SlashNOT is based on.)
